Fischer Traverse 78 Crown/Skin Xtralite Ski 2025

The Fischer Traverse 78 Crown/Skin Xtralite are lightweight nordic touring skis with a relatively straight 78/61/69 mm sidecut which is wider than that of the Transnordic series while still providing effective glide. These skis are the perfect compromise between efficiency over long distances while supplying superior downhill and turning performance in steeper terrain. The Traverse 78 Crown/Xtralite skis are an excellent choice for long multiday Scandanavian tours and polar expeditions but will also work well when you're skiing around yourlocal park for the afternoon, supplying good performance and optimal propulsion on the flat.

The Travese 78 Crown/Skin Xtralite has a nordic camber with Fischer's Nordic Rocker tip design. The ski tip is 5 mm higher and 10 mm longer, making turn initiation easier.
Weighing only 1.77 kg a pair (179 cm), these skis are built with a lightweight Air Tec core, using a light wood core with air channels that reduce weight.
The Traverse 78s have full steel edges for reliable grip in all snow conditions.

Efficient glide is supplied by the Speed Grinding 2.0 stone ground finish for perfect glide in all snow conditions. The Traverse 78 Crown/Ski Xtralite have Fischer's waxless fishscale Offtrack Crown base for effective grip in most snow and terain conditions. In icy conditions or when climbing longer and/or steeper slopes, simply clip the Easy Skins into the notch supplied at the front of the grip zone for additional grip. This combination of waxless base and short skins allows you to optimise grip and glide depending upon the snow conditions and terrain. Please note these skins are not supplied with the skins and are available as accessories. In most conditions this half-skin system will be sufficient to climb with ease but for longer trips in more demanding terrain we recommend also taking full length skins.
